This, too ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Out of practice I am waiting for a call that will finalise the details of my already-booked flight back to the UK. Via Bangkok. I forgot that I don't live in London, and so haven't arranged to get from there to where I do live, or used to and will again, at the opposite end of the country. I blame the ridiculous goodlookingness of the travel agent. 27th of October. Sigh. Today I have mostly been sitting at the Gal, drinking tea and orange juice and wondering how many thousand different staff have worked there since I started going nearly two years ago. Another one I didn't recognise, this time. On Friday, quite by mistake, I rendered myself drunker than I've been in a long time. Lately I have been getting better at getting tipsy. 'twas going all right on Friday, too. The bar had stopped serving, and I was talking to the Japanese girls and there was alternate beer and tea, and then I woke up at home in the middle of Saturday. But... the trams had stopped while my memory was still good, and I had no money left. How the heck did that happen? My feet didn't hurt, so I clearly hadn't walked the bajillion miles home. Quite worrying, really. I went from fine to blank. I think it's pretty obvious that Yuka or her unpronouncable friend spiked my drink, and frankly I'm outraged. How are you? 5:24 p.m. - 2008-09-07 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
