I don't know what happened, except that I slept only once or twice in five days and, more stupidly, drank some lager and ate some Chinese food. I woke one morning, after a little sleep, and felt suddenly as if I'd just come back from... I don't know, previously I was not myself, anyway. It was weird. Didn't realise it at the time, just woke up with an awareness of having passed it. Last night, something exploded in the oil yard behind the house. Smoke came floating over. I finished my fried egg and a fire engine came. Some people were swearing. I don't know what happened. Today, I carried some bags of soil, and, like, totally broke a nail.
